Welcome to Trisha Springstead’s Blog!
Here you’ll find updates and information on all sorts of interesting and useful topics to do with health and science, skin care and (of course) the gulf oil spill (Oil contains a number of dangerous chemicals, including Benzene, Toluene, Ethylbenzene, Xylene, Naphthalene, Hydrogen sulfide, etc.) – as well as many other diverse issues related to what you can do take pro-active measures to protect your health through detoxification and healthy living.
Dr. Riki Ott: “I have never seen so many PhD scientists sell out (as) to Exxon. There were contracts down the whole West Coast which included the University of Washington which is how I know about this because my major professor sent me a contract $250,000 blanket contract ‘come work for Exxon Oil’” Dr. Riki Ott “Not One Drop” the personal story of Riki Ott – 20 years of trying to explain to kids why they couldn’t go to the colleges they wanted to go to because there was STILL no settlement by Exxon for those who were promised they would be made whole! Exxon and BP – Similarities all across the board. Read Dr. Riki Ott’s blog on Huffington Post and please donate to her cause whenever you can!
By clicking here you can see several videos of Riki Ott on Trisha Springstead’s YouTube Channel (…Then click here for Riki Ott’s Web Site http://www.rikiott.com) taken on Wednesday, June 23rd at R-Beach in Hernando Beach. Dr. Ott was present at the time of the Exxon Valdez disaster in Alaska and is now active in the Florida Gulf helping fishermen and others affected by the BP Oil Company spill.

Get ready for the fight of your lives Gulf Coast residents, fishermen and business owners – get ready for a fight for your life! A word to the wise: Immerse yourselves in this data and the lessons of the Exxon Valdez now because like it or not, fight back or not, you will face the consequences – this is a battle for who rules America – Corporations and their unlimited campaign contributions, a dozen or so supreme court judges who re-determine and re-define the meaning of our constitution, or We The People. Your leaders may already be bought and paid for. Get ready for the fight of your life or in 20 years even if you choose to fight for your rights tooth and nail starting now you’ll be explaining to your babies why there’s no settlement money for them to go to the colleges of their choice. Don’t let your explanation be that you left that fight to someone else or absolutely nothing will change for another 40 years of Big Business stonewalling!

I posted this comment to the St Pete Times:
“I was at the meeting June 23rd and listened to Dr. Riki Ott where I video’d most of her speech (for those who could not be there) and it’s available here http://www.youtube.com/user/TrishaSpringstead#g/a. Just last week Trisha Springstead and I were in Alabama collecting samples of oily seawater and mousse (foam) with toxic dispersants in it. More photos of the meeting are here http://trishaspringstead.com/?p=1 and by the way? I am the seated guy with the orange shirt in your headline photograph. Riki Ott’s web page is http://www.rikiott.com Thanks for letting people leave worthy comments to help get this spill properly addressed and the deserving families hurt by this disaster compensated. You have a link from our blog to this page – I’ll post this comment there too.

Apparently the oil spill has stopped leaking but based on all the other stuff they have been covering up and lying about I highly doubt its the last we will here for this problem. This is with out a shadow of a doubt the largest and most expensive natural disaster ever. It makes me sick to see some of the pictures.
Phil
It’s definitely not a natural disaster – this is a man made disaster.
I agree Phil,
I just finished reading Rikki Otts book, “NOT ONE DROP” and you can see the deja vu all over again.
This spill has sickend all of us and the blatent lies being told are Criminal.

Most important: 11 men lost their lives when the Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded on April 20. This is a tribute by Steve Joynt to the 11 men who died on the Deepwater Horizon, “Oil spill Day 100: The 11 men who died on the Deepwater Horizon” We can never lose sight of the human cost of BP’s and others’ malfeasance.
I just learned about Fracking the other day. This is a practice whereby chemicals are pumped deep into the earth under great pressure to fracture rock in order to release methane deposits. Nobody but the oil industry knows (BP and Exxon were two prominent names mentioned) what harmful chemicals are in this stuff – including the US Government. Farmers are getting sick from their well water and they can’t sell their land because of it. They’re virtually prisoners on their own contaminated farms that have been in their families sometimes for generations. Here’s just one link to one of many, many sites that are writing about this criminally irresponsible greed driven behavior http://www.ombwatch.org/node/10353
Bad news. Just bad. How can these people sleep at night?
